Let's get the formalities out of the way...
An international journalist, copywriter and PR consultant currently operating my own independent company, Hi!
If you are looking for a profile filled with the usual jargon and buzz words that are over-used and make absolutely no sense, then you won't find that here! What you will find is a degree educated (Journalism BA Hons) writer with over 8 years of experience who has a little bit more about me than a corporate suit.
I don't even own a suit.
I'm presuming that you're quite busy, so rather than offer up a CV that can be found on LinkedIn by plenty of other people doing the same thing as me, here is everything that I can help with, straight to the point.
I'm not a copy cat - my work is never regurgitated from somebody else's. I worked hard to build up a big portfolio that has allowed me to develop my skills, and I don't think I need to take from another writer - I can stand alone and write with gumption.
I work hard. *Insert something generic about a good work ethic* But seriously, I work hard, and as a freelancer, we don't have set working hours. I do what I can, when I need to, to make sure that you're happy.
Deadlines - I meet them. I won't have some obscure excuse as to why I won't turn work over on time - apart from that one time I went into labour unexpectedly at the start of 2016. That was a shock. I still worked until 3am, though.
Organised - that's me. It's quite sickening really and generally annoying to my partner when I'm reorganising toothbrushes into order. I apply the whole being thorough thing to my work for fear that my head will cave in if I don't. You can check in with me anytime, and you'll find out exactly where I'm up to.
I like my job. The importance of having a working relationship that is pleasant is completely underrated - if you work with somebody who likes what they do, you will get a better service.
Confidence - I've got plenty of it, but don't worry, you won't want to punch me clean in the face because you think I'm arrogant, I'm really nice, polite and friendly. I just happen to think I'm good at what I do, because there's no point in thinking you're just alright? I don't like mediocrity, and I don't expect you to accept it.
Size doesn't matter to me - I'll take on any project, whether it be 100 words or 100,000 words - I follow everything through from start to finish.
Proofreading - I do it. There's no excuse not to.
I'm a creative little being with an OCD need to make sure that what I do is up to scratch and beyond expectation - I hate drivel, I hate seeing people pay for drivel and I hate seeing drivel being used to represent a business.
Sales conversion copy, SEO writing, interesting articles, pieces that get you thinking and plenty of business literature all under my belt. I've worked with big hitters and small businesses and I love them all equally - all business types covered and I love a good challenge, although they're proving harder to come by...got anything to throw at me?
Cost - I don't charge through the nose, but I don't charge buttons - my pricing is a fair reflection of my skillset and experience, and I aim to be affordable for clients. I understand that not everybody has a massive budget.
I've worked all over the globe as a magazine editor and journalist, but I'm now back to my roots in Liverpool and meeting more and more fantastic people who just need somebody to give them a helping hand, because we all just want an easy life and something a little bit genuine. Our collaboration will be nice, upbeat and all about what you want.
I've tried to make my profile an easy read, but rest assured that every single job that I do is completed with the utmost integrity and respect of you and your business. Try me out and see for yourself....
I can help with:
*Web Copy
*Press Releases
*Articles
*Blogs
*Brochure Copy
*E-Books
*Proofreading
*Editing
*Idea Generation
*SEO Copy
*Marketing Emails
*Product Descriptions
PR wise I'm quite clever at that, too. After working as a journalist for years and listening to some of the PRs drone on transparently about phoney stuff, I've got what not to do when it comes to public relations down to a fine art. You will never get a continental air kiss from me, if that can even be done digitally?
I can help with:
*Press Releases
*Full PR Campaigns
*Distribution
*Follow ups
*Product Placement
*Case Stories
*Story Creation
*Celebrity Relations
*Paparazzi Opportunities
*Networking
*B2B Relations
*Media Relations
*Launches and Events
Keen to work with me? Drop me a message and tell me what you're after, I'll get back in touch with you straight away. If it's a Sunday, I'm probably eating a roast dinner, so give me a bit of extra time.
